Security-driven exchange

CODEX has a long-standing commitment to security, therefore, we constantly invest in efforts to protect our users and keep the platform safe.

Two-factor Authentication (2FA)

2FA keeps others from logging into your account.

  • When you turn on 2FA, you'll be asked to enter a login approval code each time you access your account. This way it will be impossible for others to access your account.
  • Whenever you login from a device or browser you haven’t used before, we'll send a notification and ask you to confirm it was your attempt.

EdDSA API authentication

Unlike other exchanges, we don’t store API secrets.

  • By utilizing EdDSA we store only the public key, which makes our platform as secure as it physically can be. You can either securely generate your keypair in browser during API key creation or upload your public key.
  • You can always contact us if you need help securing your account.

Login Alerts

In case we track suspicious activities on your account, we’ll immediately let you know.

  • When you choose to get alerts about unrecognized logins, we’ll notify you any time someone logs into your account from a new computer or phone.
  • If you get a notification about an unrecognized login, and you know it wasn’t you, who tried to log in, you can immediately freeze your account.

01Remember, we will never send an email, asking for your account password, full credit card details or any other private confidential info. If you ever get a suspicious email, don't click on any links in it or respond to it.
02Beware of messages or website URL’s with misspellings and typos, too.
03Steer clear of notifications and alerts, claiming that your account will be deleted or banned unless you take immediate action. If there is indeed an issue with your account, we will contact you, but never blackmail or stipulate you.
04Bear in mind, many scammers try to trick people with fake offers of free, rare, secret or exclusive digital goods (ex: coins, chips, gifts).
